Assistant Director of Maintenance - Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing

Full-time

$21-$25/HR

Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Director of Maintenance to join our team. As a valued member of our facility, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance department. Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Maintenance with daily department operations

• Perform hands-on repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance

• Complete and oversee preventive maintenance and work orders

• Conduct routine facility and safety inspections

• Troubleshoot building, equipment, and mechanical issues

• Assist with supervising and supporting maintenance staff

• Coordinate with contractors and outside vendors

• Maintain required maintenance, inspection, and repair documentation

• Help ensure compliance with DOH, CMS, OSHA, and Life Safety Code requirements

• Participate in on-call coverage for maintenance emergencies

• Assist with department oversight in the Director of Maintenance’s absence

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous building or facility maintenance experience

• Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize multiple projects

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred

• Skilled nursing or healthcare maintenance experience is a plus

• Knowledge of DOH, CMS, OSHA, and Life Safety requirements is a plus

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position

• Must be available for occasional after-hours/on-call emergencies
