Assistant Director of Maintenance - Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing

$21-$25/HR

Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Director of Maintenance to join our team. Responsibilities:

Assist the Director of Maintenance with daily department operations

Perform hands-on repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance

Complete and oversee preventive maintenance and work orders

Conduct routine facility and safety inspections
-
Troubleshoot building, equipment, and mechanical issues
-
Assist with supervising and supporting maintenance staff
-
Coordinate with contractors and outside vendors
-
Maintain required maintenance, inspection, and repair documentation
-
Help ensure compliance with DOH, CMS, OSHA, and Life Safety Code requirements
-
Participate in on-call coverage for maintenance emergencies

Assist with department oversight in the Director of Maintenance’s absence
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Previous building or facility maintenance experience
-
Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
-
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-
Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize multiple projects
-
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
-
Skilled nursing or healthcare maintenance experience is a plus
-
Knowledge of DOH, CMS, OSHA, and Life Safety requirements is a plus

Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position

Must be available for occasional after-hours/on-call emergencies
