Position Summary
The Grounds Maintenance Worker will perform routine grounds maintenance and assist skilled trades and craft personnel with various maintenance activities. The role involves operating basic equipment and tools while maintaining outdoor areas safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine grounds maintenance and general outdoor upkeep.
- Operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment and tools.
- Perform lawn care and grass-cutting activities.
- Trim grass, shrubs, and other vegetation as required.
- Perform indoor and outdoor painting.
- Assist with light carpentry and general maintenance tasks.
- Support higher-level trades and craft personnel with assigned maintenance work.
- Follow oral and written instructions accurately.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
- Follow applicable safety procedures and workplace requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with lawn care, grass cutting, trimming, painting, and light carpentry.
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance methods and procedures.
- Ability to safely use common tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
