Desktop Support Technician
Location: Lakewood, NJ — Onsite
Pay Rate: $24.29/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Summary
As a Desktop Support Technician, you will travel throughout the metro area to service and repair laptops, desktops, and related computer equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and troubleshoot laptops and desktop computers.
- Replace hard drives, motherboards, keyboards, and other components.
- Perform whole-unit computer swaps when needed.
- Repair or replace PC peripherals.
- Travel throughout the metro and surrounding areas to complete service requests.
- Close service tickets in real time using the Unisys Call Management system and a company-provided phone.
- Provide professional and timely customer service while completing assigned repairs.
Key Qualifications
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid car insurance.
- Computer-building experience is preferred.
- General knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware and software.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic, non-complex technical issues.
- Must be able to travel within the assigned service area.
- Client and/or government clearance may be required.
- Police or criminal background verification may be required.
Important Requirement
Candidates must have their own reliable car and car insurance.
