We’re adding a seasoned Security Service Technician in PA to keep critical protection systems running at their best—through meticulous maintenance, sharp troubleshooting, solid repairs, and clean installations—while delivering outstanding customer care.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the face of service: communicate clearly, act professionally, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Own the PMs: perform scheduled inspections, adjustments, cleaning, and calibration.
  • Drive reliability: complete maintenance that minimizes emergencies and targets zero callbacks.
  • Share the load: rotate through emergency on‑call coverage.
  • Restore uptime: diagnose, repair, and return systems to full operation; suggest revisions when warranted.
  • Escalate smartly: flag systems that need deeper analysis or replacement to your supervisor.
  • Team with sales: provide technical recommendations during site surveys and inspections.
  • Spot opportunities: capture and pass along sales leads discovered in the field.
  • Enable users: deliver basic training on simple systems.
  • Protect relationships: strengthen customer loyalty and support contract retention.
  • Communicate upward: keep leadership informed about customer needs, system status, and risks.
  • Document everything: keep company records current and manage inventory responsibly.
  • Keep learning: stay current on new products/technology and attend required training.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years programming platforms such as Andover Controls, Schneider Electric, Lenel, DSX, Pelco, Bosch, Avigilon, and Ademco.
  • 2+ years installing security systems.
  • 2+ years of experience as an Electrician.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Computer proficiency; IT/network background is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and resilient when plans change.
  • Reliable time management and organization.
  • Self‑directed with proven troubleshooting skill.
  • Willing to travel regionally to jobsites as needed.

Physical & Environmental Details

  • Workweek: ~40 hours; typical 8–10 hour shifts.
  • Standing/climbing: 4–6 hrs/day.
  • Kneeling, lifting, reaching, bending: 4–5 hrs/day.
  • Twisting/walking: 2–3 hrs/day.
  • Squatting/sitting: 1–2 hrs/day.
  • Lifting ranges: continuous 10–35 lbs.; frequent 35–50 lbs.; occasional 50–75 lbs.
  • Carrying: average 60 lbs. across 40 feet.
  • Frequent hand use (grasping, pushing/pulling, fine motor) and foot use (equipment operation, climbing).
  • Visual acuity to read blueprints and identify wires.
  • Balance for continuous ladder, scaffold, and lift work.
  • Indoor/outdoor work from 0&degree;F to 100&degree;F.
  • Exposure to dust, gases, fumes, and odors within safe limits.
  • Possible exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and explosive hazards.
  • PPE required: hard hat, safety glasses, protective‑toe boots, gloves; additional PPE as needed (fall protection, respirator, hearing protection, arc flash gear, insulated gloves/sleeves).
