\n

Location: Scottsdale, AZ - Hybrid (4 days/week onsite)

\n

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Client: Confidential

\n

Restrictions: No 3rd Party firms.

\n

About The Role

\n

Our client is seeking a Senior-level Network Engineer / Manager with expert-level Cisco / Meraki experience to act as the critical link between the business and their outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP).

\n

This is not a heads-down, deep CLI all day role. We need someone who understands how enterprise networks are actually put together, can speak the language of the business, and can hold a vendor accountable to get things done. You will own the network strategy and execution internally while the outsourced partner handles day-to-day management.

\n

\n

What You'll Do

\n

    \n
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the outsourced network management vendor
  • \n

  • Oversee, audit, and direct all network operations, projects, and incident resolution performed by the MSP
  • \n

  • Provide senior-level design, architecture, and troubleshooting guidance for LAN/WAN, WLAN, VPN, and firewall infrastructure
  • \n

  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements and ensure timely delivery by the vendor
  • \n

  • Manage network performance, security, and capacity planning for a Cisco / Meraki environment
  • \n

  • Lead network upgrades, site expansions, and standard equipment deployments
  • \n

  • Establish best practices, documentation, and SLAs for network operations
  • \n

\n

\n

What We're Looking For

\n

    \n
  • 8+ years of progressive networking experience, with senior-level / lead experience
  • \n

  • Expert-level hands-on experience with Cisco and Meraki - switching, routing, wireless, and security appliances is required
  • \n

  • Solid understanding of core networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, BGP, OSPF, QoS, firewalls
  • \n

  • Proven experience managing or interfacing with an outsourced MSP / vendor - you know how to get things done through a third party
  • \n

  • Strong communication skills - able to interface with both executive leadership and technical teams
  • \n

  • Experience with standard enterprise networking equipment and architecture best practices
  • \n

  • CCNP, CCIE, or Meraki CMNA certification is a strong plus
  • \n

\n

\n

Work Model

\n

Hybrid role based in Scottsdale, AZ - 4 days per week in office is required. Local candidates preferred.
