As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, access points, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and support access control procedures for restricted and/or controlled areas.
- Document incidents, patrol activity, and daily observations in required reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
