OVERVIEW:
iSeries/AS400 Programmer/Analyst
The Programmer/Analyst will be responsible for maintenance and modifications of the client’s legacy ERP system, as well as new development of mission critical applications.
The Programmer/Analyst must display the ability to learn new skills and be able to work effectively with all areas of the company. Good communication skills and willingness to be a team player is a must. Also, a strong work ethic and ability to multitask is a top requirement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in programming and working with the IBM iSeries (AS/400).
- Proficiency in RPG (all versions), SQL, CL/400, DDS, query.
- Familiarity with FTP, SFTP and web services.
- Working knowledge of networks and networking concepts.
- Experience with PHP is a plus.
- Experience with ERP and eCommerce concepts is a plus.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively work with a variety of different levels of the organization. Ability to express technical terms to non-technical audience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs.
- Ability to perform effectively with a minimum of supervision.
