Responsibilities:

 Lead and manage a maintenance and facilities team of 3-4 employees, fostering a culture of safety and

accountability. Organize and maintain labor schedules for maintenance staff in coordination with other

supervisors and management.

 Collaborate with the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to identify labor needs and optimize staffing for both contract and full-time employees. Design, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance plans for all equipment and facilities, ensuring regular service and minimizing downtime.

 Maintain detailed service records and ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks.

 Manage inventory of parts, supplies, and consumables, maintaining adequate stock to support operations and minimize equipment downtime. Develop and maintain relationships with local parts vendors and external service providers for equipment repairs.

 Monitor and control repair and maintenance (R&M) costs, ensuring adherence to budget and production

timelines. Consult with management on capital equipment decisions, including repair versus replacement

and new equipment specifications.

 Implement and oversee tool tracking and security procedures. Work with HR and Safety Manager to

implement and uphold best practices for workplace safety, including training and compliance.

 Lead troubleshooting efforts for equipment failures and train team members in effective diagnostic

techniques, including the use of manufacturer software. Ensure environmental compliance by coordinating

with consultants for sampling, testing, reporting, and documentation.

 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, leading by example in all safety practices. Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Qualifications:

 Bilingual in Spanish (required) for effective team communication.

 Minimum 6 years of experience in maintenance of recycling industry equipment, with verifiable references.

 At least 3 years of experience leading and managing maintenance teams in an industrial environment.

 Hands-on experience with heavy mobile and stationary equipment such as shredders, balers, shears,

hydraulic presses, material handlers, forklifts, loaders, and diesel trucks.

 Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

 Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, safety rules, and procedure documents.

 Proficient in basic math and computer skills, including use of equipment diagnostic software.

 Valid driver's license.

 Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in an industrial environment exposed to various weather conditions.

 Ability to climb ladders and perform physical tasks as required.
