About the Role:

We're looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead Blooio's hardware operations, networking, servers, and internal software. You'll manage a team of two infrastructure technicians and be responsible for the uptime, reliability, performance, and scalability of our physical infrastructure.
\n

This isn't a traditional IT management role. You'll work across physical hardware, networking, software development, and AI-powered automation alongside engineering leadership, with room to take on more ownership as Blooio scales.
\n
\n
We want someone who can troubleshoot a networking issue, diagnose a server failure, write code to automate the fix, and lead the team to keep it from happening again.

Responsibilities:
\n
\n
- \n
- Own the uptime of our on-site hardware: server racks, networking equipment, and physical devices
- Configure and troubleshoot Ubiquiti UniFi networking, including VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and routing
- Implement monitoring, automated recovery, and preventive maintenance, and plan for capacity and redundancy
- Write and maintain internal tools, dashboards, APIs, and automation, using AI-assisted tools like Cursor
- Manage and mentor two infrastructure technicians, and set procedures, documentation, and maintenance standards
- Lead incident response and root-cause analysis

Qualifications:
\n
\n
- \n
- 3+ years in infrastructure engineering, network engineering, or systems administration
- Experience leading or supervising technical staff
- Strong networking fundamentals and hands-on experience with Ubiquiti UniFi or comparable enterprise equipment
- Experience administering physical servers and networking hardware
- Practical coding experience: you can build, debug, and maintain scripts, APIs, and internal tools, including reviewing AI-generated code
- Comfortable working hands-on, on-site in Carlsbad

Nice to Have:

- Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Node.js, plus Linux, SQL, and REST APIs
- Experience with rack-mounted hardware, UPS systems, and remote device provisioning
- Experience building monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery systems
- Experience running high-availability production infrastructure
