We are seeking a customer-focused Polymer Applications Development Engineer to drive application development, technical support, and market growth across extrusion and injection molding applications. This highly visible role partners with customers, sales, R&D, and manufacturing teams to solve technical challenges, develop new business opportunities, and support successful product launches.

What You'll Do

- Lead customer application development and material selection activities
- Provide hands-on support for extrusion and injection molding trials
- Troubleshoot processing, tooling, material, and product performance issues
- Support product launches, qualifications, and specification approvals
- Identify and develop new application and business opportunities
- Serve as the technical voice of the customer to commercial and R&D teams
- Lead technical issue resolution and corrective action initiatives
- Deliver product training and technical presentations to customers
- Partner with sales teams to support strategic growth initiatives

What We're Looking For
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of polymer processing, application development, or technical service experience
- Experience supporting extrusion and/or injection molding applications
- Strong understanding of polymer materials, processing, and manufacturing operations
- Ability to manage customer relationships and technical projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

- Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or FMEA experience
- Experience with process optimization and statistical tools such as Minitab
- Background in simulation, mold flow, or structural analysis
