We’re seeking a highly experienced Database Administrator with deep expertise in DB2 for z/OS and enterprise mainframe environments to support mission-critical database infrastructure for our customer. This is an advanced-level DBA opportunity for someone who has extensive experience managing, optimizing, supporting, and recovering large-scale production database environments.

What You’ll Do
\n
- \n
- Perform daily database administration and operational support across DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS environments
- Plan, design, implement, and support enterprise database structures
- Monitor and tune database performance
- Support DB2 for z/OS upgrades, catalog maintenance, and point-in-time recovery
- Review SQL code and provide database optimization recommendations
- Develop and maintain DBA procedures and technical documentation
- Support infrastructure implementation and change-management activities
- Assist with disaster recovery planning and technical validation
- Train and mentor other technical staff

Required Experience
\n
- \n
- 10+ years of combined database administration experience involving: DB2 for z/OS, Oracle 10g or later, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 / 2012

Candidates must have advanced or in-depth experience with:

- DB2 for z/OS administration and application integration
- DB2 performance monitoring and tuning
- DB2 upgrades and catalog maintenance
- DB2 subsystem point-in-time recovery
