Job DescriptionMainframe Engineer
Seeking a Senior Software Engineer with superb technical skills to develop and maintain high-volume, critical production platforms within Money Movement Platforms.
You will engage with business and systems partners to deliver high-quality and innovative software solutions. You are motivated to learn and grow while ensuring the stability and reliability of enterprise applications. You will work closely with operations partners and vendors on projects of varying scope to enhance applications based on system, product, business, or regulatory requirements.
Join a team working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams. Dedicated time is provided each month to develop new skills and explore emerging technologies.
The Skills You Bring

7–10 years of software development experience in business-critical, enterprise-wide applications.

BS/BA or advanced degree, or equivalent experience preferred.

Excellent mainframe development skills in COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, IBM Utilities, FileAID, Endevor, SQL, Debuggers, Schedulers, and IOMs.

Ability to perform detailed analysis for maintenance and enhancement projects in both batch and online environments.

Design, deploy, and support software releases into production environments.

Strong understanding of data security practices to safeguard customer information.

Detail-oriented with experience executing thorough unit, functional, and regression testing.

Ability to perform hands-on, detailed technical analysis.

Proactive approach to software development and solution design.

Ability to identify root causes of issues and design effective technical solutions.

Experience handling high-severity and critical production issues.

Excellent documentation skills.

Experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures is a plus (or willingness to learn).

Experience with distributed technologies such as Java and service-based architecture using RESTful APIs is a plus (or willingness to learn).

Awareness or exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, particularly in hybrid mainframe-cloud integration scenarios, is a plus (or willingness to learn).
