EFP is seeking PT Maintenance/Inspection Technicians for the City of Whittier, CA!
Details:
2-3 years of maintenance experience required.
$20-$22/hr. depending on experience.
California Driver's License and valid automobile insurance.
Mileage allowance
Must have own tools and basic maintenance equipment.
Maintenance Position:
Requires ability to work Monday through Friday,8:30AM-12:30PM OR 1PM-5PM.
Must have own vehicle to get to assigned job sites to conduct work and yearly inspections.
Also move-in and move-out inspections.
This requires completing checklists and taking pictures of the units.
Essential Job Functions:
Experience required in plumbing, patching, painting, and handyman skills.
Perform maintenance work for make-ready.
Ability to work with a high degree of integrity and promote a positive company image.
Have strong customer service orientation & ability to work as part of a team with the owners, residents, and staff.
Ability to keep detailed records, maintain written work orders, time sheets, receipts, inspection reports, etc. Install smoke and CO2 detectors, etc.
Clean and inspect all common areas of building/properties; report and correct safety, sanitary, and fire hazards.
Adhere to the company's safety programs. Set job priorities.
Qualifications:
Experience, Knowledge and Abilities:
Previous experience in property management maintenance or handyman skills.
Basic knowledge of proper methods, techniques, materials, tools and equipment used in maintenance work.
Knowledge of appropriate safety precaution and procedures; proper lifting techniques.
Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus;
high school math, comfortable with computers.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Indoor and outdoor work environment.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of equipment.
Walking or standing for extended periods of time.
Bending at the waist, kneeling, or crouching. Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally.
