Duties
- Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination
- Support lease administration processes, including lease signing, renewals, and terminations, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) guidelines
- Utilize property management software Buildium to enter data accurately, generate reports, and maintain tenant records
- Handle customer service inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and courtesy, resolving issues promptly
- Conduct property inspections to monitor maintenance needs and ensure adherence to safety standards; coordinate repairs through facilities management teams
- Assist in marketing efforts by upselling available units and coordinating property tours to prospective tenants
- Maintain legal administrative documentation related to landlord-tenant law, Section 8 housing programs, contracts, and legal filings
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
- Familiarity with property management systems for data entry and reporting
- Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, and Section 8 voucher administration is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with effective phone etiquette and conflict management abilities
- Strong organizational skills with experience in filing, data entry, legal administrative tasks, and office procedures
- Ability to negotiate contracts confidently while maintaining professionalism in all interactions
- Experience in facilities management or property maintenance coordination is a plus
