We are looking for a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Junior Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing electrical contracting team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with electrical construction experience who is ready to grow their career in estimating, project management, and commercial electrical construction.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Estimating
- Review electrical plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Assist with material and labor takeoffs
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and bid packages
- Obtain and compare material and subcontractor pricing
- Assist with change order pricing and documentation
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, general contractors, and customers
- Maintain accurate estimating and project records
Project Management
- Assist with managing electrical construction projects from start to completion
- Review project plans, schedules, and scopes of work
- Coordinate materials, equipment, manpower, and subcontractors
- Track project progress, costs, and schedules
- Assist with purchase orders and material procurement
- Prepare and track change orders
- Communicate with field personnel, customers, vendors, and general contractors
- Attend project meetings as needed
- Help ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
- Assist with closeout documentation and final project billing
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in commercial electrical construction preferred
- Electrical estimating or project coordination experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand electrical plans and blueprints
- Strong understanding of electrical construction practices
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team
- Construction software experience is a plus
- Electrical field experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license required
