Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with expertise in CREO to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background and experience with complex system level integration. This role is critical in evaluating and reporting the impact of changes to the elevator system envelopes.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and report the impact of changes, whether from a part or sub-system, to the elevator system envelopes.
  • Develop dimensional studies, including 3D modeling, performance studies, cost benefit analysis, prototyping, test plans, or code requirement studies of all affected sub-system(s).
  • Collect elevator requirements from stakeholders and de-compose these into requirements for specific sub-systems.
  • Interface with multiple value streams such as supply chain, field operations, marketing, factory support, and others to ensure that requirements are met.
  • Participate in product support activities including root cause analysis, priority assessment, DFMEA, DFM, and other engineering tools.
  • Implement Engineering Change notices and have a strong background in engineering implementation processes.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of CREO experience
  • Sound mechanical engineering background with mechanical and system modeling and design expertise
  • Experience in developing performance envelopes (duty tables)
  • Proficiency in generating 2D layouts and studies (e.g., AutoCAD)
  • Strong 3D modeling skills with the ability to analyze interfaces and interferences
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with engineering change implementation processes
  • Experience with root cause analysis, DFMEA, and other investigative engineering tools
  • Requirements management with team and stakeholders

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Design documentation with Mathcad is desirable
  • Previous elevator experience is strongly preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florence, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $55.00/hr.
