HVAC PROJECT ESTIMATOR / PROJECT MANAGER

Spartan Air Solutions is looking for an experienced HVAC Project Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team in the Sarasota and Manatee County area.
\n
\n
This is a performance-driven position for someone who understands HVAC, knows how to accurately estimate projects, and can take ownership of a job from initial estimate through successful completion.

$65,000 starting base salary

What You’ll Do
\n
\n
Review mechanical plans, architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, and bid documents
\n
\n
Perform complete HVAC takeoffs and prepare accurate estimates
\n
\n
Develop project scopes, budgets, proposals, and equipment selections
\n
\n
Estimate equipment, ductwork, labor, materials, subcontractors, rentals, controls, piping, and other project requirements
\n
\n
Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor pricing
\n
\n
Identify missing scope, conflicts, exclusions, and potential change orders before they become problems
\n
\n
Work with general contractors, builders, vendors, customers, and our field teams
\n
\n
Manage awarded projects from turnover through completion
\n
\n
Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, schedules, and deliveries
\n
\n
Monitor job costs, labor efficiency, material usage, and project profitability
\n
\n
Track estimated costs against actual project performance
\n
\n
Identify potential cost overruns early and take corrective action
\n
\n
Prepare and manage change orders
\n
\n
Assist with project billing, closeout, collections, warranty items, and callbacks
\n
\n
Maintain accurate project documentation
\n
\n
Take ownership of both the operational and financial performance of assigned projects
\n
\n
What We’re Looking For
\n
\n
We are looking for someone who understands both HVAC and the financial side of construction.
\n
\n
You should be able to look at a set of plans, understand what it will actually take to build the project, accurately determine the cost, and identify potential problems before the job reaches the field.
\n
\n
HVAC estimating, project management, construction management, or substantial HVAC field experience is strongly preferred.
\n
\n
Candidates should have a strong understanding of HVAC equipment, ductwork, ventilation, refrigerant piping, controls, labor requirements, materials, job costing, and project scheduling.
\n
\n
You must be comfortable reading mechanical and architectural plans and communicating with general contractors, builders, customers, vendors, and field personnel.
\n
\n
ServiceTitan and estimating/takeoff software experience is a plus.
\n
\n
