Job Overview:

\n

Grace Manor Events is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented husband and wife team to oversee the cleanliness, upkeep, presentation, and operational readiness of our wedding venue and event center. This position is ideal for a couple who works well together, takes pride in maintaining beautiful spaces, and can work flexible hours around event schedules.

\n

The couple will play a critical role in ensuring Grace Manor Events consistently provides a clean, safe, well-maintained, and guest-ready setting for weddings and special events.

\n

SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS

\n

The weekly schedule will be established around the events booked for that week and the operational needs of the venue. Because weddings and events may conclude late in the evening, post-event cleaning, breakdown, and reset work will likely occur between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

\n

Team members must be available for a flexible schedule that may include evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays when required by the event calendar.

\n

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n

Event Breakdown, Cleaning & Reset

\n

    \n
  • Clean the venue after each event, including event spaces, restrooms, suites, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
  • \n

  • Break down event floor layouts and remove trash, debris, and event-related materials.
  • \n

  • Reset tables, chairs, furnishings, and other venue items according to the floor plan for the next event.
  • \n

  • Ensure all spaces are fully cleaned, organized, and guest-ready before the next scheduled event.
  • \n

\n

Inventory Management

\n

    \n
  • Count, organize, and maintain venue inventory and supplies.
  • \n

  • Monitor inventory levels and promptly report missing, damaged, or broken items.
  • \n

  • Keep storage rooms and inventory areas orderly, accessible, and properly secured.
  • \n

  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing venue supplies as needed.
  • \n

Damage Inspection & Documentation

\n

    \n
  • Conduct a post-event inspection of the building, furnishings, grounds, and venue inventory.
  • \n

  • Photograph any damage, loss, or unusual condition immediately after discovery.
  • \n

  • Prepare clear written documentation describing the damage, location, date discovered, and related details.
  • \n

  • Submit photographs and documentation to management promptly and preserve records as directed.
  • \n

\n

Building Upkeep & Light Maintenance

\n

    \n
  • Perform routine upkeep and light maintenance throughout the building.
  • \n

  • Complete paint touch-ups and minor cosmetic repairs as needed.
  • \n

  • Replace light bulbs and address minor maintenance items within the team’s skills and authorization.
  • \n

  • Report safety concerns, equipment problems, or repairs requiring a qualified professional to management immediately.
  • \n

Grounds Maintenance

\n

    \n
  • Mow lawns and maintain a neat, consistent appearance across the property.
  • \n

  • Edge sidewalks, paths, curbs, and landscaped areas.
  • \n

  • Weed-eat around buildings, fencing, trees, and other obstacles.
  • \n

  • Pull weeds and maintain flower beds and landscaped areas.
  • \n

  • Apply and refresh mulch as directed.
  • \n

  • Water lawns, plants, trees, shrubs, and flower beds as needed.
  • \n

  • Keep outdoor ceremony areas, entrances, walkways, and guest-facing grounds clean and event-ready.
  • \n

\n

BUILDING ACCESS & SECURITY

\n

    \n
  • The selected couple will be provided access to the building and designated areas necessary to perform assigned duties.
  • \n

  • Follow all key, alarm, access-control, lockup, and security procedures established by Grace Manor Events.
  • \n

  • Secure the building and grounds when entering, working in, or leaving the property.
  • \n

  • Do not share keys, access codes, or security information with unauthorized individuals.
  • \n

  • Report suspicious activity, security concerns, or unauthorized access to management immediately.
  • \n

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding venue operations, clients, events, and property information.
  • \n

QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

\n

    \n
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • \n

  • Ability to communicate promptly and professionally with management.
  • \n

  • Basic cleaning, groundskeeping, maintenance, and handyman skills preferred.
  • \n

  • Ability to safely move tables, chairs, equipment, supplies, and other venue items.
  • \n

  • Ability to perform physical work that may include standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and working indoors or outdoors in varying conditions.
  • \n

  • Dependable transportation and reliable availability based on the weekly event schedule.
  • \n

\n

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS

\n

    \n
  • Complete assigned work thoroughly and within the time available between events.
  • \n

  • Protect venue property, furnishings, equipment, supplies, and client belongings.
  • \n

  • Immediately communicate damage, hazards, shortages, access issues, or any condition that could affect an upcoming event.
  • \n

  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while on the property or interacting with clients, guests, vendors, or staff.
  • \n

  • Perform other reasonable cleaning, setup, maintenance, inventory, groundskeeping, and venue-readiness duties as assigned. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the duties listed in this description.
  • \n

\n

COMPENSATION

\n

$800 per week, per couple, as base compensation, with opportunities to earn additional event-based compensation depending on the number and type of events scheduled that week. Compensation is for the combined performance of the position by the couple. Total weekly compensation may vary based on event activity and additional responsibilities performed and is subject to the terms of the final written employment agreement and applicable payroll requirements.
