We are seeking an experienced Facilities / Maintenance Manager to oversee facility maintenance, plant engineering, equipment reliability, and capital improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
\n
This individual will be responsible for leading maintenance operations, supporting production needs, managing facility systems and utilities, coordinating equipment installations and capital projects, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained facility.
\n
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to lead maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
\n

- Lead, schedule, and coordinate daily maintenance activities to support production, quality, safety, and operational goals.
- Oversee maintenance and operation of facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, utilities, compressed air/gases, water, refrigeration, and related infrastructure.
- Manage capital equipment installations, facility upgrades, and engineering projects, ensuring projects meet established quality, safety, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Maintain appropriate inventories of maintenance supplies, spare parts, and critical equipment components.
- Coordinate external contractors, vendors, and engineering service providers as needed.
- Support maintenance department staffing, onboarding, training, employee development, performance management, and team engagement.

Required Qualifications & Skills
\n

- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
- Proven experience leading maintenance, facilities, or plant engineering operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience managing and developing maintenance or technical teams.
- Ability to work effectively with operations teams, management, contractors, vendors, and technical personnel.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to work alongside technical teams when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with capital projects, equipment installations, and facility improvements.
- Experience developing and managing maintenance or capital budgets.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Education & Experience
\n

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field preferred.
- Advanced degree such as an MS or MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, plant engineering, or a related manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automated, and computer-controlled manufacturing systems.
