Job Description

What this Job Entails:

The Site Project Manager is the permanent on-site owner of project delivery at a live data center environment. This role is responsible for leading infrastructure, facilities, and operational projects including upgrades, retrofits, expansions, and equipment refreshes while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

You will own projects from initiation through completion, managing scope, schedules, budgets, vendors, and stakeholder communications. This position requires strong project leadership, coordination across multiple teams, and the ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.


Location:

Barker, NY (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)


Relocation Assistance:

Candidates open to relocating to Barker, NY will be considered.


Your Daily Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end delivery of site-based infrastructure, facilities, and data center projects

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports

• Coordinate activities between operations, facilities, engineering teams, and external contractors

• Lead upgrades, retrofits, expansions, and equipment refresh projects within active data center environments

• Monitor project scope, risks, issues, and dependencies while driving timely resolution

• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget

• Manage vendor relationships, contractor performance, and project deliverables

• Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder communications, and executive updates

• Support operational readiness and smooth transition of completed projects into production environments

• Maintain project documentation, change management records, and status reporting

• Drive continuous process improvements and best practices across project execution

• Other duties as required and assigned


Required Qualifications/Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience managing infrastructure, facilities, construction, critical facilities, or data center projects

• Proven experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, and vendors with minimal supervision

• Ability to work full-time onsite in Barker, NY

• Experience managing contractors and third-party vendors in active operational environments

• Strong project planning, organization, and stakeholder management skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to make decisions and drive project outcomes in a fast-paced environment

• Experience using project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data center deployments, retrofits, upgrades, or capital projects

• Familiarity with commissioning, MEP systems, power and cooling infrastructure, or structured cabling

• Experience supporting construction-to-operations handover activities

• Previous experience delivering data center build or deployment projects

• PMP, CAPM, DCD, CDCP, BICSI, ITIL Foundation, Lean, or Six Sigma certifications

• Experience developing SOPs, operational procedures, or process improvements


Physical Demand & Work Environment:

• Must be available to work onsite during business hours

• Ability to work within active data center and critical facilities environments

• Ability to move throughout large facilities and construction areas as needed

• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and contractors

• May require occasional extended hours to support project milestones and critical activities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


Salary Range

Up to $130,000 USD Base Salary

Relocation assistance may be considered for qualified candidates willing to relocate to Barker, NY.
