Certified Maintenance Technician
Location: Monroe, North Carolina
We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and motivated Certified Maintenance Technician to join our property management team at a residential apartment community in Monroe, NC.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on maintenance experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to maintain the community to the highest standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the apartment community.
- Complete apartment work orders and prepare vacant units for new residents.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems.
- Perform HVAC repairs and routine equipment maintenance.
- Install HVAC systems
- Maintain common areas, grounds, and community amenities.
- Assist with emergency maintenance requests and on-call duties as needed.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
- Maintain an organized maintenance shop and inventory of supplies.
- Communicate effectively with residents, management, and vendors.
Qualifications
- Valid maintenance-related certifications required.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- Previous apartment or multifamily maintenance experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general property repairs.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
