Our challenge:

\n

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong banking or financial services domain knowledge to facilitate Agile delivery across technology teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enabling Scrum practices, removing delivery impediments, improving team performance, and ensuring successful delivery of secure, compliant, and customer-focused banking solutions.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

    \n
  • Coach Scrum teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles and Scrum practices.
  • \n

  • Help teams self-organize, improve collaboration, and consistently deliver sprint commitments.
  • \n

  • Track sprint progress, velocity, burn-down charts, risks, dependencies, and delivery metrics.
  • \n

  • Identify and remove impediments that affect team productivity and delivery.
  • \n

  • Manage cross-team dependencies and coordinate with architecture, security, operations, compliance, and business teams.
  • \n

  • Support Product Owners in maintaining a clear, prioritized, and well-refined product backlog.
  • \n

  • Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and improvement action plans.
  • \n

  • Ensure Agile delivery practices align with banking regulations, internal controls, security requirements, and audit standards.
  • \n

  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technology teams.
  • \n

  • Support release planning, roadmap execution, and delivery reporting.
  • \n

  • Escalate risks, issues, and delivery constraints to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Help teams adopt engineering best practices, including quality assurance, automation, documentation, and continuous integration.
  • \n

  • Prepare and present Agile delivery reports to senior management and program leadership.
  • \n

  • Support organizational Agile transformation and the adoption of standardized delivery practices.
  • \n

  • Work with teams delivering banking applications and financial services platforms.
  • \n

Requirements:

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • \n

  • Experience working as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead.
  • \n

  • Experience working in the banking, financial services, fintech, or insurance industry.
  • \n

  • Strong knowledge of the Scrum framework, Agile principles, and software development life cycles.
  • \n

  • Certified Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent.
  • \n

  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching delivery teams.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of Agile metrics, reporting, estimation, and capacity planning.
  • \n

  • Experience managing risks, impediments, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
  • \n

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • \n

  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Rally, or similar platforms.
  • \n

  • Ability to work with distributed, cross-functional, and multi-vendor teams.
  • \n

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience working in large-scale banking transformation or digital banking programs.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of SAFe, LeSS, Kanban, or other Agile scaling frameworks.
  • \n

  • Experience supporting multiple Scrum teams or Agile Release Trains.
  • \n
