Dayforce is the system of record for all HR and employee information. Oracle Fusion HCM serves primarily as a downstream system supporting Oracle Financials, Project Costing, payroll cost processing, and related financial integrations.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM Core HR, HCM integrations, and employee data reconciliation. This is a hands-on role requiring the ability to independently investigate complex issues, perform detailed data analysis, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and support internal and external audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Dayforce-to-Oracle HCM Synchronization

  • Review and validate the existing Dayforce-to-Oracle HCM integration.
  • Ensure employee, assignment, job, department, legal employer, business unit, location, manager, and related workforce attributes are accurately synchronized.
  • Investigate missing employee records, duplicate employees, incorrect assignments, and data inconsistencies.
  • Troubleshoot employee lifecycle transactions, including new hires, rehires, transfers, terminations, and assignment changes.
  • Identify integration mapping, configuration, and validation issues and implement permanent corrective solutions.
  • Ensure Oracle-generated Person IDs, Assignment IDs, and other required identifiers are correctly maintained and exchanged between systems.

Oracle Fusion HCM Functional Expertise

  • Provide deep hands-on expertise in Oracle Fusion HCM Core HR and workforce structures.
  • Review Oracle employee, person, assignment, job, department, legal employer, and business unit configurations.
  • Troubleshoot effective-dated records, employee identity issues, assignment discrepancies, and validation failures.
  • Perform necessary data corrections in Oracle while maintaining Dayforce as the authoritative employee data source.
  • Ensure Oracle HCM supports downstream Oracle Financials, Projects, and payroll costing requirements.

Data Reconciliation and Audit Support

  • Perform comprehensive reconciliation of employee and assignment data between Dayforce and Oracle Fusion HCM.
  • Identify, investigate, and document missing, duplicate, incomplete, and inconsistent records.
  • Establish repeatable reconciliation procedures and exception reporting.
  • Prepare audit evidence, reconciliation reports, exception logs, and supporting documentation.
  • Review data integrity controls, integration monitoring, and employee data change processes.
  • Identify control gaps and recommend improvements to ensure completeness, accuracy, and traceability of employee data.
  • Work with HR, Payroll, Finance, and audit teams to investigate discrepancies and provide clear explanations and supporting evidence.
  • Ensure data corrections are properly documented, approved, and traceable.

Financial and Payroll Costing Support

  • Investigate employee and assignment-related errors impacting Dayforce-to-Oracle payroll cost processing.
  • Ensure employee data required for Oracle Projects, Project Costing, and General Ledger processing is complete and accurate.
  • Work with Finance, Project Accounting, Payroll, and Integration teams to resolve data-related processing failures.
  • Identify the financial and audit implications of employee data discrepancies.
  • Support reconciliation between employee master data and downstream financial transactions where required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM experience, particularly Core HR.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle employee, person, assignment, and workforce data structures.
  • Proven experience integrating Oracle Fusion HCM with external HR and payroll applications.
  • Strong experience with employee data reconciliation, data integrity, and integration troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting financial audits, audit evidence preparation, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reconciliation reporting.
  • Experience troubleshooting duplicate employee records, rehires, effective dating, and assignment-related issues.
  • Ability to independently investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Dayforce HCM and Payroll.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials, Oracle Projects, and payroll costing integrations.
  • Experience implementing automated reconciliation and exception monitoring controls.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle HCM REST APIs, HDL, HCM Extracts, and OIC.

Expected Deliverables

  • Validated Dayforce-to-Oracle HCM integration with mapping, configuration, and validation issues permanently resolved.
  • Accurate and complete employee and assignment data in Oracle Fusion HCM, consistently synchronized with Dayforce.
  • Comprehensive employee and assignment reconciliation between Dayforce and Oracle Fusion HCM.
  • Repeatable reconciliation procedures and exception reporting.
  • Audit evidence, reconciliation reports, exception logs, and supporting documentation.
  • Documented, approved, and traceable data corrections.
  • Recommendations to close employee data integrity and control gaps.
  • Resolution of employee data issues impacting payroll cost processing, Oracle Projects, and General Ledger.

Engagement Objective
The objective of this 3-month engagement is to ensure that Oracle Fusion HCM employee and assignment data is accurate, complete, and consistently synchronized with Dayforce, while establishing the reconciliation controls, audit evidence, and processes needed to maintain data integrity going forward.

The selected candidate must be capable of independently investigating complex issues, performing detailed data analysis, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and supporting internal and external audit requirements.
