We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aluminum Welder / Fabricator to join our production team. In this role, you will read blueprints, cut raw materials, and utilize TIG and MIG welding techniques to build high-quality aluminum products. The ideal candidate has strong mathematical skills, a deep understanding of aluminum metallurgy, and a passion for precision craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
• Weld aluminum assemblies using TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) processes.
• Fabricate components by cutting, burning, and shaping aluminum pieces.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
• Fit and clamp components together to prepare for welding.
• Inspect finished welds for cracks, defects, or spatial deviations.
• Operate shop equipment safely, including brake presses, shears, and band saws.
• Maintain equipment and report any mechanical malfunctions immediately.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of dedicated aluminum welding experience.
• Technical Skills: Mastery of TIG and MIG welding on varying aluminum gauges.
• Blueprints: Proven ability to read and work from complex technical drawings.
• Tools: Proficiency with grinders, calipers, squares, and fabrication machinery.
• Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification: AWS (American Welding Society) certification is highly desirable.
• Education: High school diploma, trade school degree, or vocational training.
