Job Description
The Surveillance Technician II position is responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and commissioning enterprise surveillance and security systems. This position requires a self-motivated technician with strong networking knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting project managers and Sr. technicians on complex installations.
The ideal candidate has experience working in casino surveillance, enterprise CCTV, or commercial security integration environments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install enterprise IP surveillance systems, cameras, servers, storage, workstations, and network equipment.
- Install and terminate CAT5e/ CAT6, fiber optic, and low-voltage cabling.
- Configure IP cameras, network switches, servers, and client workstations.
- Install and configure enterprise-grade Video Management Systems (VMS).
- Install and configure enterprise-grade access control systems.
- Perform equipment startup, commissioning, and functional testing.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Read and interpret project drawings, network diagrams, and wiring schematics.
- Coordinate field activities with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and other trades.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, punch lists, and service reports.
- Train end users on system operation when required.
- Support system upgrades, preventative maintenance, and warranty service.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience installing commercial or enterprise surveillance/security systems.
- Experience with IP-based CCTV systems.
- Working knowledge of:

- TCP/IP networking
- VLANs
- PoE
- Managed Ethernet switches
- Fiber optic networking
- Experience terminating CAT5e/CAT6 cable.
- Ability to read blueprints and network diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to travel extensively (40–60%) throughout the United States.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background checks required for casino and gaming licenses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous casino surveillance experience.
- Experience with enterprise-grade CCTV cameras and access control products.
- Knowledge of RAID storage.
- Experience commissioning enterprise VMS systems.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Manufacturer certifications are a plus.
