Position Description: The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes within the manufacturing plant. This role ensures that products meet established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. The Supervisor will lead a team of Quality Assurance Coordinators and collaborate with the production and management teams to resolve quality issues.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•\tSupervise and coordinate the activities of the quality assurance team.
•\tDevelop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
•\tMonitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
•\tInvestigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
•\tConduct internal audits and support external audits.
•\tMaintain documentation related to quality assurance activities.
•\tCollaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirements.
•\tLead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for supplier-related issues.
•\tSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Qualifications and Requirements:
•\tBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
•\tMinimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on supplier quality in a manufacturing environment.
•\tStrong knowledge of supplier quality processes, including PPAP, APQP, and supplier audits.
•\tExperience with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
•\tProficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.
•\tExcellent communication and leadership skills.
•\tAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
•\tStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•\tCertification in quality (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Auditor) is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
•\tProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•\tMust be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
•\tMust be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 Annually
