Textile Testing Specialist

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thermal and physical testing of fibers, yarns, fabrics, and finished garments/products.

\n

• Operate and maintain laboratory testing instruments and equipment.

\n

• Conduct testing according to established laboratory procedures and applicable industry standards.

\n

• Accurately record test data, observations, and results while maintaining proper laboratory documentation.

\n

• Assist with sample preparation, conditioning, measurement, and evaluation.

\n

• Evaluate materials for physical performance, quality, durability, and other specified properties.

\n

• Follow laboratory safety procedures, quality requirements, and established testing protocols.

\n

• Support equipment checks, calibration activities, and routine laboratory maintenance.

\n

• Ensure testing is performed in accordance with applicable standards, including ASTM, AATCC, ISO, ANSI/ISEA, and NFPA.

\n

• Communicate test results and any unusual observations or testing issues to the appropriate laboratory personnel.

\n

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.

\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Experience in a textile, materials, or physical testing laboratory preferred.

\n

• Basic knowledge of textile materials, including fibers, yarns, fabrics, and garments.

\n

• Familiarity with ASTM, AATCC, ISO, ANSI/ISEA, or NFPA test methods is a plus.

\n

• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow written procedures.

\n

• Ability to operate laboratory equipment and work effectively in a team environment.
