About Aubergine Kitchen
Aubergine Kitchen is a health-forward, premium fast-casual restaurant brand with 14 locations across Utah, Idaho, Arizona, and Nevada. We're a fast-growing, family-led company scaling deliberately, and we take pride in restaurants that are clean, safe, and well run. This is a hands-on seat on a lean maintenance team where the right person has a visible impact on how every location looks and runs.
Why This Role Exists
We're adding a second Maintenance Specialist to work overnight, while our restaurants are closed, so every location opens spotless and fully functional. We're looking for someone self-motivated and detail-oriented who takes pride in the work and can be trusted to do it well with little supervision.
What You'll Own
• Deep Cleaning: Deep clean kitchens, dining rooms, restrooms, and exteriors, including floors, hoods, equipment, drains, grease traps, and windows. Cleaning is the core of this role.
• Checklists & Documentation: Complete nightly and weekly cleaning checklists and document the work, so managers know what was done and what still needs attention.
• Simple Maintenance & Repairs: Handle painting, patching, fixture and hardware fixes, and other small jobs that keep locations in good condition.
• Early Issue Spotting: Catch equipment and facility problems early and report them to the Maintenance Manager before they cause downtime.
• Multi-State Travel: Travel between locations as assigned, across Utah and to our Idaho, Arizona, and Nevada restaurants.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards on every shift.
• Tools, Chemicals & Supplies: Keep tools, cleaning chemicals, and supplies organized and safely stored.
• Teamwork: Work well with the Maintenance Manager, store teams, and other maintenance staff.
What We're Looking For
• Self-motivated and able to work independently overnight with little supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in a job done right.
• Works well with others and communicates clearly.
• Willing to travel regularly, including overnight trips, to locations in Utah, Idaho, Arizona, and Nevada.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and climb ladders.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• 2+ years of cleaning, janitorial, or maintenance experience is preferred, ideally in a restaurant or commercial kitchen.
• Experience with painting, basic repairs, and commercial cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus.
Schedule & Compensation
• Schedule: Night shift, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Regular schedule is 40 hours per week.
• Pay: $16-17/hr, depending on experience. This position is non-exempt.
• Travel: Time spent traveling between locations during working hours counts as hours worked. Approved mileage, lodging, and meals are covered under company policy.
• Benefits: Paid time off (PTO) and employee food benefits.
What Success Looks Like in the First 6 Months
• Every assigned location opens clean and ready, with nightly and weekly checklists completed and documented.
• Small repairs and painting jobs are handled promptly, so the Maintenance Manager can focus on larger projects.
• Equipment and facility issues are reported early, before they become costly problems.
• Travel to Idaho, Arizona, and Nevada locations (as needed) runs smoothly and on schedule.
Why Join Us
You'll join a growing, family-led brand where your work is visible every morning when our doors open. If you take pride in leaving a place better than you found it and want a role with real responsibility, this is that seat.
