We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager for a small-sized specialized business dedicated to the manufacturing and maintenance of cathodes for the mining industry.
The ideal candidate will combine strong operational leadership, technical knowledge, and customer-oriented field support capabilities. This candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations related to the manufacturing, maintenance, and repair of cathodes for the mining-metallurgical industry.
- Coordinate production activities to ensure efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery.
- Supervise operational and technical personnel, promoting safety, productivity, and teamwork.
- Support administrative and operational planning activities, including reporting and resource coordination.
- Visit client sites locally to provide operational follow-up, technical support, and after-sales assistance.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and operational improvements with customers and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of business administration and operational management.
- Proven experience in personnel supervision and team leadership.
- Willingness and availability to travel locally and internationally for customer visits and after-sales activities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Practical and proactive approach to operational management.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience managing or supervising operations or maintenance activities in copper production plants or mining-related industrial facilities.
- Familiarity with copper cathode manufacturing, maintenance processes, or mining service operations is highly desirable.
