The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting facility systems, and ensuring all equipment operates efficiently. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and supporting production by minimizing downtime.
Essential Functions
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for facility equipment.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, including minor electrical, plumbing, and facility repairs.
• Inspect and maintain building systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and local building codes.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies for maintenance operations.
• Monitor and log completed maintenance tasks; prioritize urgent repair needs.
• Assist with equipment installations and facility upgrades.
• Support safety programs and compliance initiatives across departments.
• Prepare for and comply with third-party inspections and verification procedures.
• Ensure food safety (HACCP) requirements are followed during maintenance activities.
Skills and Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of general maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Familiarity with safety, regulatory, and food safety compliance requirements.
