Job DescriptionFord City, PA, A leading international machine manufacturer, that builds and remanufactures roll grinders, lathes, mills and many other large machine tools, is seeking to employ: Roll Grinder Software Commissioning TechnicianThe position involves startup, commissioning and service of Roll Grinding machines in the steel, aluminum and paper industry.Technical Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation of roll grinding machines and ensure they are set up according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct test runs and performance evaluations to ensure the machines meet required precision and output levels.
  • Train operators and maintenance staff on the proper use and upkeep of roll grinding machines.
  • Analyze grinding processes and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Provide technical support to customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine capabilities and operational efficiency.


Skills Required:

  • Familiarity with motion control software, PLC’s and HMIs.
  • Knowledge of servo motors and drives
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and principles.
  • Understanding of electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software problems.
