OVERVIEW

Safety Harbor Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced, hands-on HVAC & Facilities Specialist to join our Engineering team.
We are looking for a highly skilled HVAC professional who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of preventative maintenance, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel and resort environment.
This is not a desk position. We are looking for someone who can diagnose problems, make repairs, maintain equipment, and help us develop a stronger preventative maintenance program throughout the property.

RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment
• Respond to guest room and facility maintenance issues
• Assist with general building and mechanical repairs as needed
• Maintain accurate preventative maintenance and repair records
• Work with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required
• Help identify opportunities to reduce equipment failures and operating costs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Participate in emergency and after-hours response when necessary

Safety Harbor Resort & Spa is currently restructuring its Engineering and Facilities Department. We are looking for exceptional technical talent first and foremost. Candidates who demonstrate strong leadership, organization, accountability, and knowledge of the property may have the opportunity to assume additional management responsibilities within the department.
Qualifications:
• Strong commercial HVAC experience required
• Hotel, resort, hospital, large commercial property, or similar facilities experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects
• Professional communication skills
• HVAC certifications/licenses as applicable
• Valid driver's license

We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership of the property, not simply complete work orders.
