Leisure Manor is looking for TWO Night Porters join our team, both positions are part time. The schedules for these positions are:
- Saturdays and Sundays 5 PM to 1 AM.
Or
- Saturday and Sunday 1 AM to 8:30 AM.
Job Summary:
Works closely with the Community Administrator and on-site team, to ensure the Community is clean, well-kept and in accordance with RSI standards. The Porter is responsible for keeping the building secure and is the first point of contact for all emergencies
Job Duties:
- Responds to emergency calls, either from pull cord system or through pendant system depending on assigned community.
- Main point of contact for all after hours phone calls.
- Ensures that the building ground are clean and well maintained. Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of sidewalk areas, outside entrances and patio furniture.
- Responsible for the dusting, vacuuming and general cleanliness of common areas in the community; including the kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, exercise rooms, library, and game room.
- Takes all trash and recycle to the appropriate bins or dumpsters.
- Ensures the security of the building by performing periodic walk-throughs, checking that all entry ways are secure.
- Reports in and reads the logbook each shift to ensure accurate communication and documentation of any issues.

Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- One year of experience in a janitorial or housekeeping position.
- Experience with Seniors preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand; and use hands to handle/lift objects. The employee occasionally must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds. Additionally, the employee, on occasion, must crouch, kneel, or climb stairs. Most work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. This position requires substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Must have the ability to walk short distances.
