Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Recertification Specialist to support housing compliance operations for a non-profit organization in Massachusetts. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who is highly organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable managing documentation in a fast-paced property management environment. The person in this role will help maintain accurate resident records, coordinate recertification activities, and contribute to consistent compliance with program and occupancy requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Manage resident recertification files by gathering, reviewing, and organizing required documentation within established timelines.
• Maintain orderly and up-to-date records through accurate filing practices across both physical and digital documentation systems.
• Communicate with residents to request missing information, explain required paperwork, and support timely completion of recertification packets.
• Review submitted materials for completeness and follow up on discrepancies to help ensure compliance with applicable housing guidelines.
• Coordinate with property management and internal team members to track upcoming deadlines and support smooth recertification workflows.
• Enter and update resident and file information in internal systems while preserving accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist with audits, file reviews, and routine reporting by preparing documentation and responding to internal requests.• Previous experience in administrative support, property management, housing compliance, or a related field.
• Strong filing and document management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with residents and internal stakeholders.
• Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and prioritizing tasks in a structured environment.
• Proficiency with standard office software and data entry systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant training is a plus.
