SAP Technical Consultant – ABAP & SD Pricing

Location: Chicago, IL (hybrid, typically two days onsite per week)

Employment: Full-time, direct hire

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annually, plus performance bonus and benefits

Travel: Must be available to travel to customer sites as projects require
\n
Relocation: Support available for candidates relocating to Chicago
\n

We’re hiring a hands-on SAP Technical Consultant to build and implement pricing and order-to-cash solutions for clients across North America. This is a development-focused consulting role for someone who enjoys coding, debugging, solving complex pricing challenges, and seeing implementations through go-live.

What you’ll do
\n

- Develop and enhance SAP solutions using ABAP, with a focus on SD Pricing and order-to-cash processes.
- Build and troubleshoot pricing-related enhancements, including VOFM routines, subroutines, and user exits.
- Contribute to full lifecycle implementations, from blueprint and technical design through development, testing, go-live, and post-launch support.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and explain your solutions to clients and project teams.
- Work with colleagues and offshore teams to deliver implementations across North America.

What we’re looking for
\n
- \n
- Strong, recent hands-on ABAP development experience.
- Practical SAP SD Pricing and order-to-cash knowledge, including how pricing procedures and enhancements work.
- Experience creating or modifying VOFM routines and user exits.
- Participation in multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations, with clear examples of what you personally designed and built.
- Experience with SAP integration and development tools such as IDocs, ALE, BAPIs, Smart Forms, and the ABAP Dictionary.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients.
- Willingness to remain hands-on, learn a specialized SAP solution, travel as needed, and work in Chicago on a hybrid schedule.

Preferred: Approximately 8–10 years of relevant experience; rebate management experience; exposure to global implementations.
