*Role is onsite at Data Centers in Ashburn/Sterling Virginia*
*Role is a 6-month contract-to-hire*
*Role can pay $35 to $45 an hour based on years of experience with optional benefits*
Must-Haves:
- Tech II: 4-6 years commercial low-voltage or security installation experience
- Tech III: 6-8 years commercial low-voltage or security installation experience
- Experience installing access control systems
- Experience installing and terminating card readers
- Experience pulling cable
- Experience with camera installations and camera positioning
- Comfortable working on active construction sites
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance (must be on time for daily stretch & flex meetings)
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to provide own basic hand tools (drill, strippers, screwdrivers, etc.)
Plusses:
- Experience with Software House access control systems
- Experience with CCURE security platforms
- Experience with Axis camera systems
- Experience with electronic cylinder/circle locks
- Experience with biometric access systems
- Prior data center project experience
- Team lead or crew lead experience (for Tech III candidates)
- Residential security experience transferable to commercial environments
Day-to-Day:
- Install and wire card readers
- Mount card readers and associated access control hardware
- Pull and dress low-voltage cabling
- Install, aim, and focus security cameras
- Apply camera labels and complete installation documentation
- Follow safety protocols and participate in daily stretch & flex meetings
- Support ongoing construction and security infrastructure projects
