Job Description

The Alley is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our facility, arcade equipment, and other company properties—including our hotel and spa—in excellent working condition.

This is a great position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing things, and learning new skills. You do not need to know everything on day one. We’re looking for a reliable problem-solver who is willing to learn and takes pride in doing quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general building and facility maintenance at The Alley and other company properties
  • Complete basic plumbing repairs, such as fixing minor leaks, replacing fixtures, and clearing simple clogs
  • Troubleshoot and repair arcade games and other electronic equipment
  • Use a voltmeter or multimeter to diagnose basic electrical and equipment problems
  • Perform minor repairs involving doors, walls, flooring, furniture, lighting, and hardware
  • Assist with preventive maintenance at the hotel and spa
  • Handle routine maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Respond to service calls on weekends and after regular business hours when needed
  • Identify larger problems and communicate when a licensed contractor or specialized technician is needed
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
  • Follow appropriate safety procedures while completing repairs
  • Keep basic records of maintenance and completed work

Qualifications

  • General maintenance or repair experience is preferred
  • Basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting knowledge is helpful
  • Experience using a voltmeter or multimeter is a strong plus
  • Basic computer knowledge is beneficial
  • Arcade, electronic equipment, appliance, or mechanical repair experience is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to learn new systems and repair skills
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Willing and able to take occasional weekend and after-hours service calls
  • Ability to move between company properties as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work with hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies safely
  • Ability to work in different areas of the properties, including mechanical and maintenance spaces

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a versatile “fix-it” person who enjoys solving problems and learning how things work. Experience is valuable, but attitude, dependability, and a willingness to learn are just as important. If you are mechanically inclined, comfortable with technology, and ready to develop new skills, you can do very well in this position.
