Job DescriptionJob Title: Senior IT Project Manager Location-Type: Hybrid - Boston, MA (3 days onsite) Start Date: ASAP Duration: Contract, 12 months (potential for extension) Compensation Range: $80-90/hr W2 Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K Visa Sponsorship: Not eligible for visa sponsorship Job Description: The client is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale, complex technology initiatives that support the organization's strategic priorities across cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholder groups. Job Summary •Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple large and complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, scope, schedule, and budget. •Develop and manage enterprise change management strategies, including stakeholder impact analysis, readiness assessments, training coordination, adoption monitoring, and post-go-live stabilization. •Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business units, and executive sponsors, facilitating communication and presenting project updates to governance groups. •Provide direction and accountability to cross-functional project teams, including internal staff and external vendors, fostering a collaborative and innovation-driven environment. •Track and report on project progress, milestones, risks, issues, and financials, and manage project budgets with a focus on cost accountability. Minimum Requirements: •8-10 years of progressive IT project management experience managing large, complex, cross-functional initiatives in matrixed organizations. •Proven experience project managing enterprise change management initiatives, including change plans, stakeholder adoption strategies, user training, and post-go-live support. •Minimum 5 years of experience engaging business units, technical teams, and executive stakeholders to translate needs into actionable project plans. •Expert proficiency in project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches. •Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or Jira. •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: •Project management certification such as PMP, Agile, or PRINCE2. •Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-level technology projects including CRM, ERP, infrastructure, data integration, or cloud-based systems. •Experience working on university or higher education projects. •Strong history of using data-driven insights to guide project planning and risk management.
