Job Description
We are seeking a mid- to senior-level C++ Software Engineer to develop high-assurance cryptographic systems. This is a hands-on C++ development role focused on development of system services, APIs, business logic, and Qt-based user interface components. The ideal candidate brings strong C++ skills with an emphasis on code quality, security, and reliable system design. This position is full-time and on-site in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain high-assurance software systems in C++
- Develop Qt-based user interface components and supporting application logic
- Build and integrate secure communications interfaces, APIs, and system services
- Develop modular, maintainable software aligned with system and security requirements
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design reviews
- Develop automated tests and contribute to CI/CD workflows
- ·Collaborate closely with engineering, security, and systems teams

Desired Background
\n
· BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
\n
· 3–10+ years of professional software development experience
\n
· Strong proficiency in C++
\n
· Experience developing on Linux/Unix systems
\n
· Experience with Git-based version control
\n
· Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, TLS, HTTPS)
\n
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
\n
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n
\n
Preferred Experience (any subset)
\n
· Experience with embedded or resource-constrained systems
\n
· Experience with UI frameworks (Qt preferred)
\n
· Experience developing RESTful services or backend systems
\n
· Familiarity with cryptographic concepts or secure communications
