Role Overview

The Seabrook IT Department is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Assistant Summer Intern. This role is designed for someone looking to build a foundation in information technology within a dynamic, medium-sized business environment. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you will assist with day-to-day technology operations, tackle basic troubleshooting, and gain hands-on experience by supporting our staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workstation Setup: Assist in unboxing, configuring, and deploying new computer hardware, monitors, and peripherals for employees.

  • Help Desk Support: Respond to basic Tier 1 support requests, such as password resets, printer connections, and software updates.

  • Inventory Management: Help organize the IT storage room, track hardware inventory, and manage cabling and equipment stock.

  • Maintenance & Updates: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as running system updates and verifying basic physical connections.

  • Shadowing: Shadow senior IT team members on more complex networking or server projects to learn enterprise IT environments.

What You Will Learn

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (current students or recent graduates welcome).

  • Good communication skills and a friendly, customer-service-oriented attitude.

  • Ability to physically lift and move standard IT equipment (e.g., computers, monitors).
