Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $40.00 - $47.00/hour
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated Engineer to support the planning, design, operation, and maintenance of natural gas facilities and pipeline infrastructure. This role will be responsible for reviewing engineering documents, conducting field inspections, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with project teams to support the successful execution of engineering projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project documentation, and technical review processes
- Ability to conduct field inspections and investigations
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with engineering systems, databases, and technical documentation
Key Responsibilities
- Review engineering plans, technical studies, permits, specifications, and change orders for new and existing projects
- Support the design, operation, maintenance, and improvement of pipelines and natural gas facilities
- Conduct field investigations and inspections to verify compliance with codes, regulations, and project specifications
- Evaluate project requirements, identify conflicts or discrepancies, and recommend appropriate solutions
- Make necessary field adjustments following inspections and project evaluations
- Prepare and review engineering reports, permit applications, inspection records, and technical documentation
- Maintain engineering manuals, compliance records, forms, drawings, and project documentation
- Track and manage project logs, permits, technical records, and related documentation
- Enter and maintain project data within specialized databases and engineering systems
- Collaborate with project coordinators, consultants, contractors, and engineering teams to resolve issues and support project decisions
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting utility, pipeline, natural gas, energy, or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with permitting and regulatory compliance processes
- Experience reviewing technical drawings and engineering plans
- Ability to work independently in both office and field environments
