This is a hands-on, multifaceted position ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving mechanical problems, and taking ownership of maintenance operations within a smaller manufacturing environment. The selected individual will serve as the facility's primary maintenance resource, responsible for setting up and maintaining production equipment, performing building maintenance, and supporting fabrication and automation projects. The ideal candidate is a versatile, self-sufficient problem solver with a strong mechanical aptitude, a broad range of skilled trades experience, and a reliable work ethic. Role & ResponsibilitiesTasks That Will Lead to Your Success
- Set up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing and production equipment to support daily operations.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
- Perform general building and facility maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-related repairs.
- Fabricate, modify, and repair tools, fixtures, and equipment components to support manufacturing needs.
- Assist with the assembly, wiring, installation, and troubleshooting of automated machinery.
- Operate manual machining and fabrication equipment, including mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and other shop tools.
- Perform welding, sheet metal fabrication, and general metalworking tasks as needed.
- Support equipment improvements, modifications, and ongoing maintenance initiatives.
- Independently prioritize maintenance needs and respond to equipment issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient working environment.

- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, or maintaining equipment.
- General skilled trades experience with the ability to perform a variety of mechanical and facility maintenance tasks.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and equipment-related problems independently.
- Familiarity with plumbing, fabrication, and general repair techniques.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, resourceful approach to repairs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, dependability, and a strong sense of accountability.
- Willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities in a small manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous maintenance or skilled trades experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience setting up, adjusting, and maintaining production machinery.
- Familiarity with manual machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, or tool and fixture building.
- Experience assembling or wiring automated manufacturing equipment.
- Broad mechanical experience gained through industrial maintenance, automotive repair, agricultural equipment maintenance, or similar hands-on trades backgrounds.
