Role Description The Project Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Saint Petersburg, FL, responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for cabinetry and solid-surface countertop projects in the multi-family construction sector. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing architectural plans and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, and developing detailed project estimates and budgets. The role involves collaborating with project managers, procurement teams, and vendors to obtain pricing, validate assumptions, and optimize cost-effective solutions. The Project Estimator will also analyze historical data, track actual project costs, and refine estimating models to improve accuracy over time. Strong communication is required to present estimates, clarify scope, and support negotiations with clients and partners.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Project Estimation and Construction Estimating skills, with experience interpreting drawings and specifications.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess solid Cost Management and Budgeting skills to develop, monitor, and adjust project cost projections.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors and to clearly present estimate details.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and general MS Office tools.
  • \n

  • Relevant experience in construction, millwork, cabinetry, or solid-surface fabrication is highly beneficial.
  • \n

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • \n

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • \n

  • Ability to work on-site in Orlando, FL, and occasionally visit project sites or vendor locations as needed.
