Associate Attorney for Gormley Law Offices – primarily practicing in Family, Municipal, & Probate Law.
Office Location: Fowlerville, MI (Livingston County) – In-person / Private Law Office generally providing legal services for clients in Ingham, Clinton, Shiawassee and Livingston Counties.
Job Type: Full-time Job Description: Gormley Law Offices, a well-established, smaller mid-Michigan law firm based in Livingston County, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. This position offers a dedicated private office, full administrative support staff, legal research software, practice management and billing software, and a collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload focusing primarily on family law, municipal law, and probate matters. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law, probate court matters, and municipal matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and correspondence.
- Legal Research through Westlaw and ICLE. Plus, utilization of practice management and billing software through Smokeball.
- Providing legal counsel to local townships, municipalities, and other related boards and entities.
- Attend regular court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations either in person and/or via zoom.
Schedule & Work-Life Balance
- Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Note: Must be available to attend regular monthly night meetings for municipalities each month.

- Salary: Competitive salary (commensurate with experience).

Qualifications
- Law License: Active license to practice law in the State of Michigan (Required).
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of experience in family law, municipal law, and/or probate law (Preferred).
- Driver’s License: Active Driver’s License.
