About NOCD

\n

NOCD is the #1 telehealth provider for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). OCD is one of the most severe, prevalent, and misunderstood mental health conditions.

\n

\n

NOCD creates access to online therapy for people with OCD through our telehealth platform. In the NOCD app, Members can quickly access and schedule live, face-to-face video therapy sessions with our national network of licensed Therapists who specialize in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) — considered the "gold standard" in OCD treatment.

\n

\n

At NOCD, we help people reclaim their lives through clinically proven OCD treatment by removing barriers to care and reducing the stigma associated with OCD. We’re changing the world and need like-minded individuals to help accelerate and expand our efforts.

\n

\n

Opportunity Overview

\n

NOCD is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to help shape the next generation of our mobile platform.

\n

This isn't a role where you'll simply take tickets and ship features. You'll have meaningful ownership over our iOS architecture, technical direction, performance, and user experience while solving challenging problems around real-time video, communication, reliability, and healthcare.

\n

\n

You'll work closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and Clinical teams to build experiences that directly impact how people access and receive OCD treatment. While iOS is your primary focus, you'll also have opportunities to work across the stack with Python, TypeScript, and AWS.

\n

\n

We're looking for an engineer who enjoys ownership, thinks beyond their immediate area of responsibility, and wants to help shape the technical foundation of a growing product.

\n

\n

What You'll Own

\n

    \n
  • Shape the architecture of our iOS applications, making decisions that support scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
  • \n

  • Build experiences that directly impact how Members access therapy and engage with their care.
  • \n

  • Develop clinician tools and in-session experiences that support therapists during treatment.
  • \n

  • Solve challenging problems involving real-time video, communication, performance, and reliability.
  • \n

  • Partner with Product, Design, and Clinical teams to turn complex user and clinical needs into elegant technical solutions.
  • \n

  • Contribute across the stack using Python, TypeScript, REST APIs, and AWS when needed.
  • \n

  • Establish and improve engineering patterns, testing practices, code quality, and developer workflows.
  • \n

  • Take ownership from technical discovery → architecture → implementation → production → iteration.
  • \n

  • Help shape the technical direction of the mobile platform as the engineering organization grows.
  • \n

\n

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • 6+ years of professional iOS development experience
  • \n

  • Proven experience shipping and maintaining production iOS applications.
  • \n

  • Strong proficiency in Swift and deep hands-on experience with SwiftUI.
  • \n

  • Experience with modern concurrency patterns, including async/await and Combine.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance, testing, and release practices.
  • \n

  • Experience contributing to backend services using Python and/or TypeScript, or a strong willingness to work across the stack.
  • \n

  • Experience building or consuming REST APIs and working across the frontend/backend boundary.
  • \n

  • Working experience with AWS and cloud-based application architecture.
  • \n

  • Ability to work independently and take features from concept through production.
  • \n

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • \n

\n

\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Experience working in healthcare, digital health, or building HIPAA-compliant features.
  • \n

  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, or similar.
  • \n

  • Experience with microservices or event-driven architectures.
  • \n

  • Experience working at a startup or small, highly collaborative engineering organization.
  • \n

  • Objective-C experience.
  • \n

  • Experience contributing to CI/CD, developer tooling, or infrastructure.
  • \n

\n

\n

Why Join NOCD?

\n

    \n
  • Build technology that directly impacts access to mental healthcare. The mobile platform is a critical part of how Members access specialized OCD treatment and engage with their care.
  • \n

  • Own meaningful technical problems. You'll have a voice in architecture, engineering practices, performance, and the evolution of our mobile platform.
  • \n

  • Work across disciplines. Partner with Product, Design, Clinical, and Engineering teams to solve complex problems that have a real-world impact.
  • \n

  • Grow with a rapidly expanding organization. You'll help shape the technical foundation of a growing healthcare technology company.
  • \n

  • Work on challenging mobile experiences. From real-time video and communication to reliability, performance, and healthcare workflows, you'll encounter problems that require thoughtful engineering.
  • \n

\n

\n

Benefits

\n

    \n
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision coverage, and 401(k) match
  • \n

  • 11 observed company holidays per year

The expected pay range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000. Actual pay will be based on the individual’s qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible for annual performance-based incentives tied to individual achievement and company-wide goals.
