IT Systems Analyst - Manufacturing - Saline, MI
100% Onsite
Occasional travel to other facilities (Warren, MI once a month & Mexico 1–2 times per year)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an IT Systems Analyst to support, maintain, and enhance our core business application systems in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses heavily on ERP support, reporting, database management, and end-user support, while partnering closely with business teams across operations, finance, HR, and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP & Business Application Support
- Support and maintain enterprise systems including DELMIAWorks, EDI platforms, financial systems, HR systems, and other internal applications
- Troubleshoot ERP system issues and provide timely resolution to end users
- Support business processes including production, inventory, purchasing, shipping, and receiving workflows
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Develop, maintain, and modify reports using SAP Crystal Reports
- Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting and business analysis needs
- Build dashboards, KPIs, and ad-hoc reports for operational and leadership teams
- Support business intelligence initiatives and data-driven decision making
Database & Systems Support
- Perform database querying and light administration tasks using Oracle SQL or similar relational databases
- Support data integrity, maintenance, and troubleshooting across systems
- Assist with system integrations and data flows between ERP and external applications
EDI Support
- Support and maintain Electronic Data Interchange processes with customers and suppliers
- Troubleshoot EDI transaction issues and ensure timely data exchange
- Maintain documentation for EDI mappings, processes, and workflows
User Support & Training
- Provide end-user support, training, and documentation for business applications
- Translate technical issues into clear, non-technical explanations for business users
- Develop training materials, SOPs, and system documentation
Project & System Support
- Assist with ERP upgrades, enhancements, and system implementations
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and implement system improvements
- Support IT initiatives that improve efficiency and business processes
General IT Support
- Provide basic IT support including PC setup, printer troubleshooting, and Active Directory assistance
- Support system access, user roles, and permissions management
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in an IT Systems Analyst, ERP Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst role providing IT support
- Experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience developing reports using Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools
- Understanding of EDI processes and transactions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with ability to support non-technical users
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with manufacturing ERP systems such as IQMS/DELMIAWorks, Epicor, SAP, or similar
- Experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience supporting supply chain, production, or inventory systems
- Exposure to Oracle SQL or similar enterprise databases
- Experience working in automotive or Tier 1/Tier 2 manufacturing environments
