Job DescriptionDescription:

Arctic Cat is searching for a Compliance Engineer to join the team! This role plays a critical role in ensuring Arctic Cat products meet all applicable legal, safety, and regulatory requirements across global markets. This onsite position in Thief River Falls, Minnesota partners closely with cross-functional product teams to integrate compliance standards into product design, documentation, and validation processes.


Responsibilities:


  • Research and determine appropriate standards and regulations that apply to Arctic Cat products, depending on regions where product will be sold.
  • Work with engineering, operations, and sales teams to ensure that products meet safety, emissions, chemical and other applicable standards and legal requirements.
  • Work with legal, engineering, and technical publications to develop proper safety related labeling and documentation.
  • Determine requirements for compliance testing and submit test requests. Review test reports for completeness and accuracy of data and results. Observe compliance tests and provide input. Coordinate with third parties for external tests.
  • Prepare and submit applications for approval to regulatory bodies and work with internal and external parties to gain approval to build and ship products to meet production schedules.
  • Effectively communicate status of applications.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and records per established protocols.
  • Update Compliance Status spreadsheets and other applications as directed.
  • Stay current with the latest regulatory requirements and communicate changes to compliance team.
  • Work with industry associations to maintain and create standards related to Arctic Cat products.
  • Communicate with SSCC, SAE, CPSC, SVIA, ROHVA, EPA, CARB, Transport Canada, UCA, and other government or industry groups, as directed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive designs, costing, test data, prototype models, and product plans.
  • Perform other duties to support compliance and legal functions, as directed.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 2 or more years of experience; experience in engineering, compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs preferred.
  • Knowledge of ATV’s, ROV’s, and / or snowmobiles preferred.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Effective communicator with strong problem-solving abilities and experience conveying compliance information clearly.
