Summary
The Maintenance Technical plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence at our Versalift facility. This position blends hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership skills, overseeing a small maintenance team while contributing directly to production operations. Approximately 25% of the role focuses on managing facility maintenance activities, performing minor repairs, and ensuring the plant remains safe and operational. The remaining 75% involves technical production work, including cab electrical installs, chassis programming, component preparation, hydraulic and fabrication assistance, and conducting quality checks throughout the production process. The ideal candidate is a versatile, solutions-oriented professional who can balance multiple priorities, lead by example, and maintain high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform facility repairs, including plumbing, lighting, and general upkeep
- Prepare vehicle bodies, chassis, and subassemblies for electrical work and component installation.
- Support hydraulic and fabrication installation tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to prioritize tasks and allocate resources to meet production schedules and budget guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a maintenance, electrical, or technical production environment preferred.
- Proficiency in basic facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing, lighting, and minor repairs.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, wiring
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production plant environment.
