Summary
The Facilities & Maintenance Manager will keep the entire facility running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. You’ll oversee daily maintenance operations across HVAC, lighting systems, CNC equipment, ovens, building infrastructure, and more. You’ll guide a skilled team, collaborate with contractors and vendors, and ensure our facility meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and appearance. What you will be doing:
- Lead, coach, and support the maintenance team while overseeing all daily maintenance activities
- Ensure environmental compliance and manage hazardous materials programs
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels for tools, supplies, and parts to support efficient repairs
- Manage service requests with a focus on safety, speed, and quality
- Perform and oversee preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Keep workspaces, shops, and storage areas clean, organized, and audit-ready
- Inspect equipment and facility areas regularly to identify safety hazards or repair needs
- Follow through on all maintenance concerns to ensure timely resolution
- Plan labor schedules to align with forecasted workloads and project demands
- Collaborate with staff and technical teams to build a proactive, high-performing environment
- Uphold company safety policies; ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety protocols
- Conduct and document scheduled safety inspections
- Set clear goals, priorities, and action plans to achieve department objectives
- Apply LEAN principles and lead 5S/6S initiatives within your business unit
- Thrive in a metrics-driven culture by embracing continuous improvement
- Support a positive, collaborative atmosphere among employees and peers
- Participate in position-related training, seminars, and certifications to support ongoing growth
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace; adhere to all environmental, DOT, HAZMAT, and safety requirements
What you need to qualify:
- 5+ years in maintenance roles and 5+ years in a supervisory capacity
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- OSHA certification; AB Programmer/Maintainer Certification
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with PLCs, Allen Bradley systems, and PCN networks
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines
- Solid PC and documentation skills
- Effective leadership, organization, and communication abilities
