Job Description

Senior Security Installation Technician
Territory: Eastern Massachusetts

Our client's continued growth in Eastern Massachusetts has them opening a new role for a senior field technician to own physical security installation projects across their critical infrastructure. This is for someone who does not need hand-holding, and is at their best with prints, parts, a schedule, and the room to run the job. A company vehicle is provided, so you can run this territory from wherever you're based. The work is install-focused. Pay is $40 to $55/hour based on experience, certifications, and system depth, plus health insurance, 401k, and PTO.

What You Get to Do

  • Run access control, camera, and perimeter detection installation projects for one major client, instead of bouncing between different accounts
  • Build deep knowledge of that client's systems and sites over time, and become the person they trust on their infrastructure
  • Take prints, parts, and job instructions and turn them into completed field work without needing step-by-step direction
  • Pull cable, mount devices, terminate wiring, install access hardware and cameras, and verify system communication
  • Work inside Genetec Security Center environments and around Mercury access control hardware
  • Once the relationship is established, coordinate your own schedule and timing on locations
  • Carry the project execution load, including when paired with another field technician
  • Stay on project installation work, no random service calls

What You Have Already Done

  • Independently run security installation projects in the field, especially access control and video systems
  • Worked from prints and parts lists without needing someone to lay out every step for you
  • Installed and troubleshot field hardware in real-world commercial or infrastructure environments
  • Built a reputation for reliability, productivity, and solving problems before they hit the PM or dispatcher
  • Worked comfortably with low-voltage cabling, device mounting, terminations, door hardware, cameras, and system verification
  • Bonus points if you have experience with Genetec, Mercury hardware, or perimeter / fence line detection systems

Why You Would Do It

You would take this call if you are a real senior installer who wants trust, autonomy, and steady project work in a territory that has sustained volume. This role is built around one major client, not a rotation of random accounts, so you get to master their systems, know their sites inside and out, and build a relationship strong enough that you eventually coordinate your own schedule. There is room to grow into crew leadership or project management over time, but the immediate value is clear: own important field projects, get a solid pay range with benefits attached, and get paid like someone who can execute without being managed every hour.
